Dana began teaching at Studio Body Logic in 2015 and completed her Power Pilates Comprehensive Certification in 2016.

A true believer in personal growth and the ‘body is meant to move,’ Dana has engaged in a variety of physical activities such as belly dancing, tennis, swimming, ice-skating and horseback riding. Once achieving a comfortable level of competency and personal satisfaction, Dana sought new fitness experiences. In the early 1990s Dana read a community newspaper article about Pilates. She was intrigued by this new method of exercising that strengthens the core muscles and improves the body’s flexibility. After further research, she found Studio Body Logic offered classical Pilates instruction. Dana progressed through the basic, intermediate and advance levels of Pilates as a student and enjoyed the work and the SBL teachers. Dana’s positive experiences compelled her to train as an instructor and teach at SBL.

Dana teaches the popular Pilates Reformer classes on Tuesday evenings. She is currently training in the Melt Method.

Dana lives with her husband and miniature schnauzers in Alexandria. She is a Bowie State College graduate and recently retired from her federal government career. She enjoys knitting, sewing, weaving and making jewelry in her spare time.

Dana is a Level 1 Pilates instructor and teaches at the Alexandria studio.
